Early in 2018, Dentacoin had launched a new cryptocurrency that could help dental clinics get more customers in a very cost-effective way.

Dental Clinic in Ontario to Accept Cryptocurrency for Its Services Southdown Dental, a clinic in Mississauga, Ontario, is introducing a new payment method. Patients will soon be able to pay for their services with cryptocurrencies. The dental clinic says they accept digital money for every procedure, from routine checkups to braces for children.

Canadian dental clinic responds to growing demand to accept cryptocurrencies

A dental clinic is stepping into the world of cryptocurrencies in response to the growing positive sentiment towards cryptocurrencies. The company’s management has seen an increase in the use of digital currencies in the consumer and service sectors in Canada. The cryptocurrency offers autonomy to users, reduces transaction costs and allows for quick and easy payments, the clinic said in a press release. Southdown Dental provides services to the residents of Mississauga in the Greater Toronto Area, in Canada’s most populous province, Ontario. Established in 1989, the clinic prides itself on being a pioneer in dental innovation, using the latest technology to provide the best possible care to patients. The dental clinic stated: With the growing use of cryptocurrencies, Southdown Dental is excited to be a part of this movement and meet the growing demand from Canadians for more use of cryptocurrencies. The dental center also acknowledged that many patients are not fully insured for some of the more expensive procedures. And in these unpredictable times, the clinic says, they may want to keep their money in bank accounts and spend some of their cryptocurrencies instead. Apart from the recent market correction, the value of cryptocurrencies has been on the rise since last year.

From regular checkups to surgeries and braces, patients can pay for everything with cryptocurrencies

Southdown Dental offers its customers financing if needed, a variety of payment plans, and a variety of payment options that are now even more extensive with crypto payments. The press release did not mention the grantees by name, but Dr. Kal Khaled, co-owner of the clinic, assured: Whether it’s a routine checkup, surgery, or braces, our patients will be able to choose between traditional payment methods or cryptocurrencies. It’s exciting to be the first Canadian dental practice to enter a new field that offers our patients new options in a very uncertain time, adds partner Dr. Bob Vavaroutsos. Toronto’s downtown dental hygiene clinic also accepts cryptocurrencies, according to a report from local Canadian media outlet Daily Hive, citing data from Coinmap. But while Southdown Dental is not the first company in the industry to use cryptocurrencies, it is certainly one of the pioneers.
